TAB in times of Corona

Even under the current conditions, the TAB team is working intensively together with its partners. Some colleagues work distributed in the office, others from home - and like many everywhere, challenged by childcare or worries about elderly relatives. Of course, TAB continues to work on the projects commissioned by the Bundestag and running over the longer term, but at the same time new projects are currently starting as planned.

Although TAB's commissioning modalities do not provide for short-term or even daily topics, future work will certainly take up questions resulting from the current exceptional situation. How well prepared German society and the German state are for crises was the subject of a much-noticed TAB project in the past with regard to the possible consequences of a large-scale power blackout; we are currently investigating the criticality of important infrastructures in water supply or waste management. With comprehensive and balanced analyses and information, we would like to continue to make our contribution to forward-looking and precautionary policy-making.
